Thanks to its construction, Tamara offers a pliable yet consistent supportive shank that forms perfectly to any dancer’s arch. It is appropriate for every level dancer, from novices to professionals, and built for those with compressible strong feet that are tapered or taper when squeezed.

The Tamara model has its roots in the popular Maya I model, but offers a number of improvements:

Shank Makeover - the shank is 5 mm shorter in comparison to the Maya model which provides a closer arch fit and true 2/3 length. This provides enhanced flexibility with robust arch support. They are made from leatherboard and other materials that will last longer and prevent the shoe from breaking low.

Side Adjustments - the sides are 5 mm lower when compared to the Maya, offering a sleeker appearance and accentuating the arch.

Upper Design - a reinforced vamp prevents spillage forward (on flexible feet), and the double satin heel offers a smooth look and stable and snug fit.

Binding Upgrade - versus elasticized drawstring only, Tamara is constructed with elasticated binding for a clean, snug finish.

Insole Upgrades - Tamara is lined with an incredibly soft microfiber that adds additional comfort and prevents the shoe from sliding off the foot.

Box Innovations - the use of our Miracle glue in the box and wings offers extreme flexibility and allows these parts to be easily adapted by hand. This innovative paste works equally well in cold, warm, and humid climates. The wings were also redesigned with an additional layer for superior fit and durability.
